So, I got into a bit of a fender bender and now my axle shaft on the left is bent, and the wheel warped. I've already found a replacement wheel for my GTA, but I don't know how to go about repairing the axle. I know I'll need a new seal and bearing, but does anyone know if I can pull a shaft from another disk break, 3rd gen? My car is stock in every way, it also has the standard rear I believe. Is there a difference in the length, or spline between models?

Re: Damaged axel help.
Like DJP mentioned, we need a bit more info. If you have a 10-bolt, here's some basic info that may answer some of your questions.

9-bolt axles are different lengths from side to side. Nothing but the brakes are interchangeable from a 9- to 10-bolt. Perhaps you can find more info in the link to follow:

Left side 9-bolt 28 spline axle shaft (driver side) and new bearings and seal.
Summit has the bearings and seal (remember they are axle specific) and are listed under GM 7.75 rear axle. Axle shaft your area salvage yards or a google search.
