[[Quick TH400 Question]]

Can anybody lemme know what the hole on top of the passanger side of the tranny is for? Like I said it is a th400.
Whatever was in it is broken off really close to the base of the hole.

It's a vent. Not sure what for. I have a pub at home. I'll research more later...

Thanks alot man. I looked on a tranny that came out of the car; its just a metric that was behind the v6...it has a hole on the top just like that on the th400 and its just a breather i believe.

Any help would be much appreciated

there was 4" - 6" nylon tube installed for a vent

I think there is a chunk of broken off metal in the whole now, im sure it was just a little nipple for the hose to go onto but what do i do about that?

insert a small extractor... turn left... and pull the rest out..

I clearly understand the point of taking out the old one, but what do i do for a new one? i cant just leave a open hole chillin on the top of my tranny.
