TKO 600 speedo cable help

Ok, so the tranny has an electric sensor, but my car has mechanical cable... needs to be hooked up to pass inspection.

What are the options here?? preferably as least expensive as possible.

Thanks.

the tko has a mechanical output too. It has a rubber plug in it when you recieve the trans, its almost at the end of the trans, and i believe the driverside

where did you get it?

ohhh awesome, I actually bought it used from a guy who was gonna put it in his mustang, so I sould either get an adapter from a place like fortes or get a stang speedo cable and cut in and attach it to my cars speedo cable?

not sure about the mustange cable idea, but FWIW, i have the mechanical adapter from fortes, it came with my trans, i dont know how it works or what its supposed to be used with. Its just some kind og adapter sleeve thing and a pin. I guess you have to swap gears on to it and use the f-body t5 sender?

hmm ok I will keep that in mind, wat did you end up doing? I need it done lk tomorrow so ima prolly just do watever is the quickest.

I thought the whole point of their adapter was that you can't use the T5 gear so they made an adapter? not sure though....

Re: TKO 600 speedo cable help

So i guess that the hole where the mechanical unit would go has no gear in there that it would mesh with. Did every tremec tranny they made have both a mechanical and electric output or just certain ones? I just took the guys word for it that its a 600 but it could be one of the 3550's.

However I found a few possibilities.

Not sure if one of these could work.

Supposedly this should work.
