I'm pretty sure the 30 will work for you as long as you have the 88 trasmission in your car.
I'd like someone to back me up on that. I just upgraded my converter 2 days ago. I counted but have been so excited since then that I can't remember.

It is factory in an 88 Formula behind a 350... If anyone else can confirm that would be great. Where can I find a number on the tranny to confirm?

From my past experience, 88 and up 700r4's have the 30 spline and the older ones have 27 spline. I just got a 3500 lockup stall with 30 spline for my 88 IROCZ.

Thanks Mike. I knew there was a cutoff in years as far as 30 spline input shaft as well as auxillary piston in the valvebody. I just wasn't sure if it was 86 or 87.Originally Posted by mikeirocz1
