Stripped threads in trans

Hey guys I'm looking for some advice as to why my car has pulled the 2 bolts from the trans mount to the trans straight out twice. The first time it happened I re tapped it and as soon as I jumped on it they pulled out again. This time it got helicoiled and I had a mechanic look at it and he said theres not much meat left if it happens again I'm in trouble. My question is why is this happening? My car is not that fast. I don't want to have to replace the trans, I just got it like 18mths ago. Any suggestions?

Re: Stripped threads in trans

If it happens again change the tailhousing and move the tourqe arm to the cross member so it doesn't happen again .

Re: Stripped threads in trans

Does it matter if the bolts aren't in the tailhousing? I swapped a th350 in and the bolts go into the case. Thank u. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Re: Stripped threads in trans

sounds like the bolts are coming loose and then tearing out.

can you drill the hole larger and re-tap for a larger bolt?
