my name is Steve im in the Marine corp so i dont have too much time to work on my car but my 83 camaro 355 sbc with a few things done and a stock 700r that went out a couple months back before boot camp. i still have 1st and 2nd but after that its pretty much in neutral so im guessing its shot i dont know too much about the trans part of things (my weak point) but i wanted to rebuild it to be able to handle some power for a while i plan on doing a few more things to my engine and getting somewhere in the 500 to 600 power range. Are there any good kits out there that take care of everything would it be impossible to do myself with videos and any other help i can find or is it better off gettin rebuilt by a shop? any other tips would be helpful thank you
