Question about T56 crossmember
I did a search but didn't find anything...i may be able to get my hands on a T56 with the factory crossmember out of an LT1 trans am. I have a 1991 Z28 convertible that it will be going in, and was wondering if the stock crossmember will work for me. I have stock exhaust so no longtubes or headers. Has anyone done this swap and used the stock crossmember? Any issues I should be aware of before I start? Thanks

The LT1 and your stock crossmember will not work, you will need to get one from one of the vendors from this site.

i think he's asking about using the lt1's stock crossmember on his 3rd gen... and i don't have a definite answer but i wanna say it wont work

Guess I should have been more clear, the LT1 crossmember and the stock crossmember will not work.

i used a 4th gen but cut it up and rewelded it came out pretty good no worries so far
