clues ?????
how would I know if the 700r4 transmission that I am planning to buy is rebuilt. and does it matter if it came out of a truck Please help DREW, HIGHFLYER somebody help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: clues ?????
i dont think there is an obvious way to tell if it has been rebuilt. A clue might be how clean it is, but it could have always been cleaned and not rebuilt. Look for a different torque converter as well. It might be blue or something if it has been replaced. How long ago was it rebuilt?
AS for the truck tranny, i am no expert, but i think it would be ok as long as it came from a v8 truck and not a s10 or something. There are fewer clutches in the v6 tranny. I'm not sure about the calibrations though.
