Transmission mount broken, can't locate correct part

Well my transmission mount broken in half, i went to multiple parts stores, and the only thing that they had were square and round rubber mounts with a threaded post coming out of one end and a metal braket molded into the rubber with two holes on the other end.

These tranny mounts are completely different from mine, mine has two metal brackets a rubber/cast metal body [which broke] , a round sheet metal cap on the bottom and was oil filled. Any ideas ? And yes this is the component that the tail of the tranny mounts to and the cross member mounts to the bottom of it. thanks

o btw: its an 89 2.8l t5 5 speed, and i will post some images asap

You're describing an OE mount that wasn't seen long on our cars--and is very expensive to replace ($200 or so, IIRC). The easiest bet is to simply purchase a T-5 or 700R4 cross member, which uses the standard mount, and bolt it in. I doubt you'd be out more than $30 or so.

Note that the '90 - '92 3.1l V6 cars used a two piece cross member. This may work better for your 2.8l engine. Helps smooth the vibrations. There is the main cross member. Then another that is above it mounted on rubber donuts. With the tranny mount then between the trans and the upper cross member.

As well as many other models, my 85 Iroc for example. Below is a pic of the secondary cross member with poly, but rubber for the secondary mount may still be available from GM:
