700r4 Q's??
Im new to the auto tranny thing. I have a 700r4 with a B&M ratchet shifter. Seems like when going into OD it slips some times. Also when i manually shift it, it shifts real soft and late some times from 2nd to 3rd and it clunks when i down shift to 1st, I was told it has a shift kit and a stall converter. i think its just warn. I guess im trying to feel out my best options. Ive been looking at all these rebuild kits out there and im wondering what one should i get? they seem to come with different amounts of the tranny parts? And is it something i can do or should i take it out and bring it to a specialist? im pretty mechanicly inclined, but never did a tranny. any suggestion would help. ohh.. and im trying to keep the budget to a minimum. thanx

If you want to keep your budget to a minimum you need to start with a known tranny build. if your unsure what you have then take it into a shop and have it built back to factory specs, that will give you a good starting point.

as in you know exactly what mods are truly done, if they can be undone without a lot of parts needed.
