Transmission Troubles

Car: 1992 Camaro RS, 1999 GMC Jimmy
Engine: 305 TBI, 4.2L I6
Transmission: 700R4, 4L60-E
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt 2.73, 10 Bolt Posi 3.42
Transmission Troubles
I have a 1992 Camaro RS with a 305 and a 700R4. Yesterday I was driving down the street and I heard something snap, after that the transmission was acting sluggish and would not shift up into 3 or 4th gear. I have no idea what happen, im hoping its not something major. Can anyone tell me what might have happen?

Just went out in the garage to check it out. Put the car on jack stands to see if it was anything in the rearend and it wasnt, put the car in neutral to and then spun the tires by hand and i can hear something in the transmission whineing. I took it off the jack stands and started it up and ran threw the gears, when i shifted from park to reverse it shifted really hard and jerked the car, it did the same thing in drive.

is you Tv cable still hooked up sounds kinda like what happens when your Tv cable is off.
