T56 hydraulics and heat

I am having a problem when the car heats up, it gets hard to shift. I have had new hydraulics from GM, but now am wondering if the hydraulics are getting too close or being heated by my shorty headers.

Does anyone use any type of heat tape or heat shield for the hydraulics?

Thanks!

Brake fluid is pretty resilient to heat, unless it has moisture in it. You can use any kind of header wrap , shields, or spark plug protection on the line and units, but I'd look at other issues unless the line is sitting directly on the exhaust.
