I want a good shift kit, to shift kind of hard and powerful. and wen i burn out in 1st gear to stay there. I saw a few threads and people metioned Transgo Performance shift kit, but will that give me the hard and powerful shift i want? I have a 400sbc... it has mayb 350hp

 

The transgo kit is pretty much the best on the market. You do not want a hard shift with these transmissions only a firm shift. A hard shift will break internal parts always. My transgo kit gave me an impressive kick feeling without truly snapping my neck. also my strip times improved over the harsh TCI kit I had before in the original 84 model 700.

hey i have a transgo on mine and i have all the firm tweeks on it but when i gun it first to second shift is long/soft but i did what it said to make it firm. do u have any ideas whats wrong

i just had the tranny re done, the place that did it told me that there is a shift kit in it now but i still dont like the way 2-3 shifts so i got a new valve body and now i just need a kit to put it all in
