Will the stock 10 bolt 7.5 in rear end hold up to 600hp with a rebuild. Im looking to make a street strip car out of it.

I plan to use
Moser or Alloy usa 28 spline axles
Powertrax no slip differential
regearing the rear end
Upgrading the lower control arms,panhard bar, torqe arm, and shocks/springs
runing 15x8 with 275/60/15 DOT drag tire
and ofcourse c clip eliminators

or is this a waste of money
also if it is worth it. what gear does everyone recomend running a built 355 175 shot on the bottle and powerglide w/4500 stall trans break?

 

No. If you put sticky tires on it you will break it. If you only run street tires then it might last a while. I recommend that you pass on the Alloy USA axles. They sometimes require modifications to make them fit.

 

Will a ford 8.8 fit with some modifications i have one just laying around i got for free. It came out of a 1987 ford f-150
