Removing input carrier snap ring

Removing input carrier snap ring
I been messing around with and old transmission that I want to rebuild and been doing good up until I got to the input carrier snap ring. I have snap ring pliers but Im not having any luck. Does anyone know of any tricks or ways to get that F-ing thing off??? Its my time of the month and if I dont get this thing off I might go postal!!!
