Will a transmission from a 2.8v6 fit onto a 305? if not what is the differences in the v8 and v6 ones?

Re: V6 transmission

The bellhousing is different as the bolt pattern on the back of the engine is different. The input shaft spline count is different. The gearing ratios are different. Yes it can be made to physically work if you use a V8 bell housing and a V6 clutch, but its not worth the hassle.
