Re: stall recomendation?

Thats a very small cam. I wouldnt go much more than 1600-1800. Although I would probaly just stay with a stock convertor, as I believe it stalls close to this already.

Ok thanks I'm going to try programming the evidence my self so I didn't want too muchof a cam to start with. Anyone know what kind of gears I have in the rear I think its 3.73 or 3.23 I don't remember ive been burnt out on this engine build its my first. What gears do u all recommend?

Re: stall recomendation?

I'm guessing you have a 700R-4. I'm also assuming by the mild motor build this is either a daily driver or just a fun cruiser not meant for racing. Given that, I think 3.42 (if you have a 10 bolt. Not sure whats available for 9 bolt) would be decent. The 700 has a good first gear ratio so you dont need tons of gear to get it to leave nice. You could go to 3.73's though. I think the 3.42's would be the best mix of leaving nicely, and cruising at lower rpms on the highway. With that cam you wont need to rev it much. It shows the power band ending at 5000 so you can get away with low cruise rpm.
