which Governor 700R4
My trans has always shifted low, WOT shifts are always around 3500 revs often lower and it needs to be really labouring for kickdown to cut in, i've adjusted the TV cable which improved things but not drastically..
Most of the threads on here that seem to point to similar problems, have swapping out the governor as curing it..
It never really bothered me as i have a B&M ratchet shifter installed which i use if i wanna drive hard, but i'd like to get it working properly
Just wondering which one to go for 'corvette spec' seems popular or should i just go for a B&M or similar adjustable one? any makes to avoid or can i just go for the cheapest new one on ebay..?

Re: which Governor 700R4
what gears do you have now?
I personally went with the corvette governor. I figured since they came with 3.42s from the factory, and I have 3.42s now that it'd be the best starting point.

No this is a replacement reconditioned trans, it's always done this in my ownership and I believe since the trans was fitted by the last owner..
If i manually shift it usually best point is about 4500/5000 I aim for about 4750 but with the delay after you hit the ratchet shifter it's hard to be accurate..
Also it helps to shift slightly higher when using 100 octane fuel as it pulls noticeably harder and longer when compared to the the cheapy 95 octane stuff..
