After much digging I found an ebay store in australia who sells new parts for the 9 bolt rear ends.

Looks like they have new cones, spider gears and whole LSD carriers for sale and the parts are all new!.

Now I have not spoke to them, don't know if they would ship to the US or anything but at least we might have another option to buy parts. Prices are in AU currency so right now they are almost equal to the $'s.

There is a seller on EBay selling New 3.70 ring and pinion's for $148 plus $25 for shipping right now. I'm not sure if its the same seller or not.

these are the same flat faced cones that some guy here got from 9bolt.com, they are not a drop in deal!!! you need to either mod the case or the cone. Weird that they come that way

 

yeah, I blew up my 10 bolt and just picked up a 9 bolt. It's cones are just touching the carrier so I'll be doing the cone mods now while it's out before it goes in over this winter.

 

I saw that too - it must be that there was a change at some point either in the carrier or the cones since it seems that these should be a drop in with no machining required.
