Has anyone sucessfully used a 3rd gen clutch slave with a 4th gen clutch master and line? I read on another forum that they are the same (specifically a 92 slave) with the exception that the 3rd gen slave has a bleed nipple.. Also looks like the 3rd gen slave has a metal housing.

Seems like it would be a good way to go since I am replacing the slave anyway.

Can anyone confirm this?

I might have done this or it was the otherway around, can't remember since it was years ago but It took some modding to achieve. Think I had to drill out the hole little bigger in the slave for the line fitting to fit and maybe swapped the o-ring to, you will know right away when you have them in your hands if it will work or not.

 

the master end will swap to the 4th gen braided line Ive done that. I don't remember if the slave needed a mod or not. but the last slave I used was the metal one from auto zone
