if my torque arm bushing is like this, are my lips facing towards the drive shaft or away from the drive shaft?

yup yup. are you changing the bushing? ordering polyurethane? they make the car feel better. I changed my torque arm to transmission crossmember located took it off the transmission. I love it.

Re: torque arm bushing

IIRC, the ES TA bushing comes with pretty good directions.

Re: torque arm bushing

I just replaced my bushing with the Energy Suspension Poly part and it's Night and Day. My mount didn't have the rivets for the old bushing. they were screws. I lucked out. The old bushing was about 50% gone. It really wasn't doing ANYTHING. I should have taken some pics of the old one. Anyhow, there's a difference for sure. It feels tighter.
