1991 Camaro V6 RS Rear Transmission Mount

Just bought a 1991 Camaro V6 RS Automatic, the rear transmission mount is broken. The stick bobs up and down in the consul. Guy said it wasnt a huge deal but I beg to differ, the transmission is moving as the car goes over bumps? Yeah not going to fly with me. I would like to know what mount is needed for this car. Again 1991 Camaro V6 RS Automatic trans. They guy said the original part is a liquid filled mount and it costs around $300 some for the part. I have been looking around and some mounts go for $60. I would like to know if there is an alternate, maybe performance mount that will work just the same. I think for the exact same part from another Camaro is what would cost $300. So if anyone knows about this issue please message me or comment on this post or how ever this website works.

$10 at Advance - simple rubber mount for the front.

You can replace with a polyurathane mount, but you get more vibration with a poly mount:

I'd use standard rubber Advance auto mount on a V6 car - takes 20 minutes to change.

If it's the crossmember, best bet is to grab a JY part. But you can get aftermarket like:

And welcome to TGO! The feature works really well here - and everything you need to know about your car is in this board - just search, and if you can't find, then ask, we're glad to help.

To use the OE rubber mount or the poly, you'll need the appropriate cross member (a one-piece from a T5 or 700r4 with a standard trans mount). Try the site's classifieds or a yard.

Thank you so much. I knew that it couldnt be as complicated as he said it was going to be. I think he was more trying to find the original piece out of another Camaro.

I just order the OE polymount. are you suggesting the idea that I need to replace the support beam as well? or is the polymount interchangeable with the original ****ery down there?
