Shaky shifter and slow acceleration?

How's it going, recently my shifter started shaking in my 87 firebird. Mainly in 5th gear on the highway, when I give it gas to get up to highway speed (55 mph) it shakes a lot but it if I go to 65 mph which is about 1800-1900 RPMs it stops shaking, however it still accelerates extremely slow in 5th gear not so much in the lower gears though. Could this be my clutch going? Also it does shake in lower gears but not as much.

Thanks.

Your clutch is worn out and needs replaced.
