Which Transmission should I use?

Hey guys, i'm new here and from my experiences so far i'm glad to be here! I recently purchased a 1987 IROC Z28 Camaro with a 305 (locked up) and a 700R4 Transmission. I want to convert this car over to a manual but i'm not sure what transmission I should be looking for.

I purchased a professionally built 350 to put in place of the 305, from what everyone tells me it's a beefy engine and it was built by a very reputable local engine shop here in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Could anyone give me some suggestions for a manual transmission and rear end to drop in this car? I don't plan to beat the car too bad but I definitely would like to get on it every now and again. I'm looking for a trans/rear end that will be able to withstand the beating as I plan to take this car to a few track days.

If you could, please provide how readily available the transmissions/rear ends are, a rough ballpark of the price and if it's a direct bolt on or not (if it isn't, please provide any extra parts that would be needed to make it work). Feel free to give me any other input all replies are appreciated!!

I hate to say it but, my whole life I've been a Honda/Mazda guy so I don't have any experience with 350's and their mates so if my response sounds stupid (it probably will) please excuse me.
