Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:73
ADJUSTING AUTO SHIFTER
had the 700r4 out and been under the car 4 times adjusting the shifter cable. and its still not right. is there an exact position for the cable, or is it just a guessing game?

Just have to put the selector lever on the trans in the same gear as the shifter is on in the car.

did that 4 times already. the lever on the trans has an inch long slot in it. lots of room for error

Do you tighten the shift cable in the middle of the cutout on the shift lever?
