Hey guys let me get right to it. its a 87 iroc got a built 350 15k on the new motor. and a new 700r4 that a shop put in. going out today and i was given it some gas and i hear a loud thump/pop come from the tranny. and it lost alot of power. when i drive it it barley moves i have to almost floor it to get it to go. it kinda feels like if you were driving a clutch and holding it half way in. and once its moving it doesnt seem to bad but if i punch it its almost like nothing happens and it just revs up but it wont rev high enough to hit rev limiter so its still grabbing a little bit.


***UPDATE***
So i just tried to move the car backwards by pushing it and it wont move in R N OD D 2 1.. it feels like it is locking up. but if i almost floor it in forward gears it starts move but slowly.

Has anyone had a problem like this?

2300 Stall
only about 4-5k on it.

i need some help if anyone could throw me there 2 cents i would appreciate it.

Sounds like u lost ur torque converter (best case senerio) i would drop pan and look for debri if u have chunks probly lost your shell take it back make them replace

Yeah i took it to the shop and they still havnt called. what do you think would have caused that? the 700r4 should be able to handle 400hp right?
