Transgo shift kit or re-programing kit?

ok my 700r is done for & iam going to get a factory rebuild on it & i wanted to add a shift kit or anything that will add life to my trans & a little bit more power. from what i read on here everyone says transgo is the best way to go. The ? i have is should the reprograming kit or shift kit & what problems do they fix?........Somebody help me out trying to get this done asap!

I'm running his street and strip trans for 7+ years now. Shifts at 7k RPMs without issue so far.
