Wanted: Dana 44 service manual
I've found a few on-line however they pertain to Jeeps and other truck applications.
Does anyone have any service material related specifically to the Dana that was sold by GM as an over the counter rear axle replacement? Looks like a ring and pinion should be straightforward enough but I'd still like to have all the specs.
Thanks.

I don't remember if that assembly as an aftermarket piece via SLP / Summit even had a manual.
I'd compare the late model C4 & Viper specs to the Jeep stuff you've reviewed and some older info like this: http://www2.dana.com/pdf/5310-3.pdf to see what you can find to differ.

Re: Wanted: Dana 44 service manual
The Dana 44 was sold under pn 14044853 through GMPP (and through others as you mention).
You would think that a specific service manual would have been available.
Interestingly enough, I have original blueprints (whiteprints actually) of the differential directly from a former Dana/Spicer (of) Indiana employee. Doesn't help much in a rebuild though.
