Please Help!
I have an 88 S10 5 speed. I was told it was the same 5 speed as in the Camaro's. My speedometer isnt working and I figured I would come to the people who have helped me out before. I have changed the speedometer cable, and reduction gear. How can I check/change the gear in the transmission. Any and all help would be appreciated greatly!

Re: Please Help!
In an 88 Camaro T5, the shifter block under the shifter needs removed (a roll pin is pushed through.) Then the tailhousing MUST be removed because the indexing ball bearing and spring are held down by that roll pin. I suspect the S10 is the same.
If the driven gear is spun by hand and the speedo doesn't work, troubleshoot the speedo.

Re: Please Help!
I forgot to mention that I have checked out the speedo itself and it works like it should until I put it back together and then nothing. I am thinking about sending it to a pro because I havent had good luck working on transmissions.
