Swapped out my 200c in a 82 Trans Am for a 700r4. Shorter accelerator cable
Hey guys ! Hope all is well. I'm doing a Engine/Tranny Swap in my 82 Trans Am. I already wired up the Painless kit. I know it needs some kind of vacuum, where do I get the vacuum from a 350carb to the 700r4 -? And finally, I noticed that the accelerator cable from the 200c is very long,do I need to make any changes to make it fit for the 700r4 ? Any help would be great, thank you very much

The 700 doesn't use vacuum.
The accelerator cable goes from the gas pedal to the carb; has nothing to do with the transmission.
There is however a detent or "kickdown" cable for a 200, whereas the 700 uses a throttle valve aka TV cable. Not at all the same thing. Might be a good idea to start here. www.tvmadeez.com Look through their catalog of carb setups, and most especially, read and understand the full "TV 101" article (about 3 - 4 pages, all told).
