Cost of clutch setup

I am an old guy who use to race. Haven't done anything since the late 60's and am building my 91 camaro with an ls376. Diamond cluctch sells a whole setup with flywheel, plate etc for 759.00 for there stage two. Does that seem like a good price for what you get. Also would like any opinion on that brand of clutch. Thanks in advance.

Re: Cost of clutch setup

I'm not sure about the pricing on stuff, but I do know my buddy has used the LS7 clutch on his twin turbo 6.0L and its held fairly well even tho its not designed for that power. ~700whp when he raced it, and 800whp on the dyno. I know alot of guys use it on 450whp or lower builds just fine.

My other buddy uses a Spec 3 clutch for his T56 for sbc. Its holding 1.4x 60 foots and 10.4 at 131 all motor passes so far. Its been 9.88 with a worn out disk and lasted a good many passes.
