1984-1990 camaro build
Okay so I have this customer who brought me an 84 camaro sport coupe with a busted 305, a good tranny a trashed body a descent interior. Then she brought me an 85 z28 parts car and a 1989/90 rs body.. I put a 1993 truck motor, re built with a mild cam and some shorty headers on it, painted it, put some wheels on it and had the interior recovered.. now im messing with the transmission.
I am assuming the wiring is different from the early models to the late models?
I will try and link some picks of the work I have done.. I will also be building a IROC for my employee really soon.So I will be around for a while..
Good news is I have done the hinge kit from andys z28 page and it did a great job on fixing some fubarred hinges..
SO advice im looking for now is tranny usage

Re: 1984-1990 camaro build
If the RS is a 90, get a VSS from 86-92 Firebird or 90-92 Camaro to put in the 84 transmission and the speedo will work, assuming stock wiring. The cable bracket might be different between 84 and 90. The rest should be bolt-up. If the truck motor had a 168 tooth flywheel, might wanna get a small one from 86-97 F-body to use the f-body starter.
