700R4 Flush Low Miles 21 Years Old

I see a lot of threads about whether to flush the 700R4 or not with 100k+ miles. A friend of mine got a '90 IROC show quality from the original owner. He drove it about 1k miles a year since new. He never changed the 700R4 fluid.

I think she should get it flushed and put in fresh Dexron 6. The fluid still looks new on the stick. The car has 27k miles on it and runs flawless.

Good idea?

My concern is the age of the fluid. Is that something to worry about?

what is the "stock" type of fluid for a 700R4? I wanna put Royal purple ATF in mine but, idk if that would work?
