Like all Chevy small block V8s except the 400, they are internally balanced.
Like all 86-up (1-pc RMS) small block Chevy V8s, the rearmost bit of internal balance weight is mounted on the flywheel, and all of them have the same amount of internal weight mounted out there.
Since they are all the same, and there is so little understanding of what "internal" balance means vs "external" (which has NOTHING WHATSEVER to do with which side of the oil seal the weight is on), avoid the words "internal" and "external" altogether. They do nothing but cause confusion. The operative concept here is "stock"; which is the same for all of them.
