Ok so im going to check out a posi rear for sale this weekend. It is advertised as being a posi with 3.08 gears and rear disk brakes. The guy has no idea what year car it is off of but says there is a torque arm mount on it. Is there anyway for me to determine what year it is? Im just going on the assumption that the tag will be missing off of the case. Any info on this rear would be greatly appreciated. I want to know what Im looking at before I commit to buy.
Thanks
Thanks

if it has 10.5 inch rotors its a 1982-86 rear with the weaker axles.id avoid that.the 1990?up rears have 11.6 rotors, better calipers, and better axles.

Assuming it's a 10 bolt.Originally Posted by zenish

He didnt know much about it so i snatched it up for $150 bucks. Now lets just hope it doesnt make noise. Thanks for the info and help.
