4th Gen Pedals Hitting Bracket Under Dash?

Has anybody had a problem with the 4th gen clutch pedal hitting the bracket under the dash that the steering column bolts to? Mine is hitting that and it's off by about 1/2" from the top from what it normally is when the pedals are out of the car... Just afraid this may make it barely disengage the clutch all the time. I could clearance the pedal or the bracket, but I don't think I've seen anyone else do this. Thoughts?
