Yes and no. It will fit with considerable mods. If i remember right the ZF is a monster and does not fit the tunnel on these cars well requiring spacing it down or modding the tunnel. Also its not really the strongest trans out there. For the money that they are going for and the amount of work required to put them in these cars id stay away from them and look for a T56 or a TKO. TKO requires drop spacers on the crossmember as well but is more of a bolt in kit and can handle 500-600 hp depending on which model you get. T56 bolts right in. Both the t56 and tko are easier and handle more power than the zf and you would probably be ahead of the game price-wise too.

Ok thanks, well they are asking $550, it has only 24,000 miles on it, come with new cluctches & flywheel. Thanks for the info. Are the LT1 & LS1 6 speed th same?

A T56 bolts in much easier. A LT1 obviously is a direct bolt in at the bellhousing. Driveshaft can be kept as well. Would need an aftermarket crossmember but thats about it. LS1 T56 needs a bellhousing adapter which I believe runs 200-300 dollars But you can use that with a ls1 clutch release bearing and a gen 1 sbc clutch.

Ahhh got it, sounds like a PITA if you cant tell the difference. But a LT1 would be an easier way to go?

LT1 t56 is the way to go. You 'can' make a LS1 t56 work but the cost to convert it over to work makes it the not practical choice unless you get it for free or next to free lol.

However I believe the hydraulic setup in a LS1 T56 is much better and worth the offset cost.
