92firebird, lost reverse, and other gears maybe

so just like any other day, i was driving to work parked the car, when to leave work for the day, and went to put the car in reverse,
car didn't move, was like neutral or something,

from what gears it seems like i do have, park, drive, overdrive, 1 and 2

in 1st or what ever gear its in i have to get it over 5,000rpm let off gas before it will shift to the next gear.

from what i notice trany fluid was low, replaced it, and installed a new filter.

it didn't fix the issue.
my next thought is to replace the transmission modulator.
any thought and or help would be very appreciated.

It could be your hydraulic pump, mine did similar things before it blew up.

would a Chevy th350 have the same bolt pattern as the current installed 3.1v6 trany?

what you i require to install this trany for it to work correctly?
sensors bypass?
vacuum bypass?

no, the 3.1 is a 60 degree engine and has a different bolt pattern for the bellhousing than a typical th350 would have.

Shame you are so far away, i just pulled the auto out of my 92 v6 car, perfect shape, 80k miles, im just changing to a 5 speed.

I have the same problem and someone else told me that the sun shell is busted and not to drive it very much before fixing it. How hard a fix is this project going to be? Anyone with any ideas?
