700r4 getting water in it some how

so i checked the transmission fluid in the 86 for the first time and now i havestrawberry milk (aka water mixing) anybody have a clue as to how that could happen? i dont drive it (rebuilding it since previous owner was an idiot) but i do have to move the car occasionally to get the grass under it so how bad is it to have it like that till i can afford to fix whatever is causing it?

i'd guess the water is from a leak in the transmission
cooler located in the RH radiator tank(any tranny fluid
scum in the radiator?)If that looks ok,car may have
been flooded or the rubber bushing for the tranny
dipstick may be missing(should have a big fluid leak
there too in that case)Once the cause is found and
corrected, get that contaminated fluid out ASAP! then
drive the car in a manner to get the tranny good and
hot to evaporate away any remaining water and change
the fluid again if needed

Check your transmission cooler inside the radiator. You can undo the tranny lines and pressure test it, put air to it and check for bubbles in the rad fluid.

If it's leaking, you can tie your trans fluid lines together, bypassing the cooler, so you can move it around.

ok, i was figuring the radiator may be the problem, i do know that the dipstick tube needs a new bushing since its leaked out before(i didnt look for the pink back then though) and theres no tansmission fluid in the radiator so it could have been flooded, i dont doubt it since the guy had it in the back woods near a lake

Yep, just replace the radiator.
