Help please

Here is my situation I have a 1986 Iroc-z with a 1970 nova 350 motor in it and a rebuilt 700r4 with a 2800 stall also no computer in the car anymore.... now here is where i need advice please my tranny has like hesitated shifts and shifts roughs but when i really get out her she shifts better... I do not understand why? Is it cuz the computer is gone and the tranny has no brain behind it? any ideas please?

Also I read somewhere about wiring a 12v switch to the electric plug on the tranny... would that do anything?

Thanks

Re: Help please

TV cable adjustment is key to proper part throttle shifts.
http://www.tvmadeez.com/article/index.php shows up a lot when people ask questions about it. There's an article for it in here too: https://www.thirdgen.org/technical-articles

A 700-R4 will overheat without the torque converter clutch (TCC) locked at correct times. This can be done by very simple wiring (a pressure switch in the 4th gear circuit can activate it, an ECM wired in correctly can do it, there are aftermarket systems from B&M and others to do it)

Search "lockup" and "TCC" and read a bit. Then ask questions.
