Please help!! Carrier choice

Hi to everyone!
Please help to choose what kind of carrier I need.
All number I have in it:
GM N 22522676
k29
12:41
7 5/8
K04
GM 3
5387
and I have 26 spline axles

So the carriers I could buy:
-65-2015B
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SAG-65-2015B/
7.625, but 28 splines!
-65-2015c
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SAG-65-2015C/
26 splines, but 7.5!

which one I need to get???

THANKS!

Re: Please help!! Carrier choice

That depends on what you're doing with it...

I'd buy this carrier http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ETN-19599-010/

and these axles http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SAG-EV10-4/.

Oh snap... no point in that... already did

yeah that's a cool combo but right now I'm not ready for that, I need OE carrier for 26 spline axles

Re: Please help!! Carrier choice

GM used 3 different carriers, not just those 2. What you're looking for is the 7.625" 26-spline from an '85-'89 2.8, but why are you shopping new open carriers? The 7.5" / 26-spline will work fine with your axles, and your 7.625" ring gear, but you need the pre'85 spider gears and side gears. Carrier bearings are the same for all 3. If you want an open carrier, forget wasting a fortune on new, and go get a used one from a salvage yard. It doesn't even have to be an F-body. It can be an S-10, or even a G-body for that matter.
