Car: 1986 Camaro IROC Z28
Engine: 5.0L 305 TPI
Gear ratio

The rear end differential has gone out in my car and I am in the process of ordering a new one. My choices are the 2.73 or 3.23 which came stock in my car but I am not sure which one to get because I am not sure what's in my car. Is there an easy way to tell or should I just go with the 3.23 or what?

The 2.73's will be a little better on the freeway, but the 3.23's will be more fun and have a better launch. Go 3.23's and get a posi/limmited slip if you can

Oh yes, I am definitely getting a posi. And the car doesn't see freeway more then maybe a couple times a year to go home from college.
