Not to sure what this is!

Hey everybody! I have a question about my 87 IROC. Its got a factory 700r4 sitting behind a 355. All the other drive line is factory also. The only thing that concerns me is when I get on it decently in first and let out of it right away it will make a very loud BANG coming from the back end. Almost as if I hit a bad pot hole. Anyone know what this could be? I just changed the tranny mount last year too.

Same thing happened to me in my old 87 T/A. Id give it a nice helping of gas let off then BANG. I forget what the problem was it never even got fixed. But yea I think it might have been not having a bell housing too.

Did you use the reg oem mount or poly-urethane? because even when I had my weak LG4 305 old motor I broke it 5 times in a year...lol I changed it to polyurethane and never had a problem again.. So it might be that again.

I put the OEM back in but it should be good yet, just passed a safety inspection and havent put to many miles on it yet. Any other mounts or anything I should be checking?? Around the city and what not it feels normal, no vibrations or anything.

also check your "torque arm Bushing".the rubber on the mount that the torque arm is connected to or the mount itself is broken.

Alright I'll have to check it out. Could it have anything to do with my rear end??
