Is this worth trading... for now?
I have been finishing off the restore of my black 87 IROC. I've had it for 18 years and it has been parked for like 6. I'm almost done with a bunch of things. I have already installed the front lowering springs and I need to do the rear. I have LCA's, LCA mounts, and pan hard bar.
I also have a blue 87 IROC that I bought with a blown motor a couple of years ago. It is all torn down for a major restore and won't be on the road anytime soon. My black one has a 350, but did not come with it. The blue one came with the 350 so it has the Limited Slip and 3.27 gears in the back.
Since I am going to be lowering the back is it that much harder to just put the whole rear axle from the Blue IROC into the black one? Would it be worth it for the LS and better gearing?
If I do the swap is it pretty simple? Are the disc brakes the same on the rears?

Would you do it or is it not worth the effort?
