Heavy Vibrations - T56
Hi all!
Hope you know a way to fix this.
I have a 89 GTA with a 383 and T56 Swap.
I'm using the Energy Suspension Polyurethane Bushing ( the Stock Bushing was really too soft, so the Shift stick travelled too much downwards while hard accellerating ). I doubt this part would last longer than a few weeks before being ripped into pieces by my engines torque *g*
Don't know if it is the ES Bushing , but when I go full throttle, I have alot of vibrations and noise when I press the clutch pedal. (From 2-3 Shift until 5-6, 1-2 is still ok/quiet)
Is there any way to avoid this? Maybe some greasable bushings? Or is this common behaviour?
Thanks in advance
Alex

Re: Heavy Vibrations - T56
Get the shorter energy suspension mount. The one that's sold EVERYWHERE is too tall and it puts the driveline at incorrect angles.
Or.. if you weld the torque arm bracket to the crossmember and get it off the transmission, you can then get good life out of rubber transmission mounts, which will also allow for quieter operation.

Thanks alot - Didn't know that the ES Bushing can couse those problems.
I'll try to remove the preload plate, if it works - ok. If not - I'll get the prothane.
thanks again
