I have a t5 with 3.45 gear ratio in the back and I'm wanting to swap to a t56. I'm wondering if the 3.45 goes well with the t56 or is it recommended to swap it to some other gear ratio?

Nothing wrong with a 3.45 rear being compatible with a '94-'97 T56 factory would have been a 3.42 optimum gear on a TPI and a manual would be 3.42-3.73 unless you change to a miniram intake or an Lt1 intake and a nice cam then I would say straight to 4.10s......

Okay great, thanks! now my other question is does anyone know generally how long this swap takes? because I don't really have the knowledge or time to do it so I'm going to have to ask a shop to do it for me.
