Why not put a Eaton Posi or Yukon Dura Grip in the rear end that you have with the 3.23 gears? Or you could use one of the Power Trax lockers.

Re: POSI W/ Low gears?or stick with my non posi..?

If it doesn't have the gears in it that you want then it's $200 wasted. That rear end should have the Auburn differential in it, and there is a very good chance that it's either worn out or very close to being worn out. You can't rebuild the Auburn. Put another $150 to $200 with that $200 and fix it the way you want it. Those gears are also going to through your speedometer off.

If 3.42 is what you really want then yea, you probably won't be happy with anything else. You sure won't be happy with a 2.73.

got you you think a 3.42 gears would be descent for my car...I got a 5 speed in it with a LG4 305 engine in it...Hooker 2055 headers 3" straight pipes witha flowmaster at then end, will be replacing stock manifold with a edelbrock performer intake soon...and this car is ym daily driver...
