Help on Aluminum driveshaft

In your expert opinions, Is there any difference between a aluminum driveshaft with a dampner on the yoke, vs. one that doesn't have it. I've been looking at a LS1 shaft with the dampner on the yoke. Will it minimize vibrations? http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...lectedIndex=30

Re: Help on Aluminum driveshaft

The dampener reduces noise from the drive shaft and rear.
