i'm doing a ls1 t56 swap and am really having to watch what i spend. found a used ls7 clutch/flywheel for $350. would any of you buy it, or spend the extra $200 or more to have a new one? guy says it has 500 miles on it.

Re: would you buy a used clutch?

If I knew what the material thickness was on a new one to compare and it looked new (pressure plate and flywheel surfaces looked about the same and barely worn at their machined surfaces; virtually no wear at the pressure plate fingers; didn't look "cleaned up" etc.) then yes I would. There are fickle people and projects that dont' get used a lot of miles at times.
