This is in my 88 GTA with a transgo hd2 kit set up for full manual. It kinda seems like 3rd gear clutches are doing whatever they want at any given time.

Sometimes I'll roll up to a stop sign and drop down to 1, and 3rd will still be applied as well (it feels like). It did that to me a few times over the past few weeks.

Now I'll be starting off and shift up to 3rd, and it will just go neutral. Occasionally I'll be able to get it to shift to 3rd, and it feels good, no slippage or anything. Seems like if I let it sit for 20 minutes or so, it will shift fine for a couple miles

Fluid doesn't smell burnt,but I couldn't get a good fluid level reading, there was fluid all over the dipstick.


Anybody have any insight for me? I'm gonna drop the pan today and check for loose valve body bolts, if I don't see anything, and nobody has any suggestions for me, the trans is coming out. I have to be back up and running for next weekend or its gonna be a boring weekend at the track in my DD .
